Freshman Year (2010-11): Outdoor Track: did not compete ... Indoor Track: Competed primarily in distance events for the Raiders ... clocked a season-best of 3:13.13 in the 1,000-meter run at the Giegengack Invitational ... also recorded a season-best time of 5:30.76 in the mile at the Valentine Invitational.

Before Colgate: Shapiro ran five years varsity track, earning five varsity letters. She was on the winning Inter-Academic League Championship team in 2005, where she placed 4th in the 400m and was on the Championship winning team again in 2008. She was the captain of her track team senior year. Shapiro was a five year varsity letter winner in cross country. She was named first team all Inter-Academic League and second team all state her junior year. Shapiro earned the Most Valuable Runner award in cross country her junior year and the Most Improved played in volleyball her senior year.

Shapiro was a senior leader of the Community Service Organization (CSO). She also ran cross country and played Volleyball throughout high school.

Personal: Born to Alan and Peg Shapiro in Abington, PA. Shapiro currently lives in Blue Bell, PA and has six siblings. Her major is undeclared.
