Junior Year (2009-10): Outdoor Track: Studied abroad.
Indoor Track: Competed in one event for the Raiders. Hepworth posted a season-best time of 8.47 in the 60m at the Cornell Relays.
Sophomore Year (2008-09): Outdoor Track: Competed in the short sprints. Ran a season-best 100-meter dash time of 13.17 at the Bison Outdoor Classic and also crossed the line with a career-best 200-meter time of 26.79 at the Bison Classic.
Indoor Track: Competed in six meets. Hepworth ran a season-best time of 27.20 in the 200-meter dash at the Syracuse Invitational.
Freshman Year (2007-08): Outdoor Track: Competed in the short sprints. Hepworth ran a season-best 100-meter dash time of 13:52 twice at the Bison Outdoor Classic and again at the Patriot League Championship. She crossed the line with a season-fast 200-meter time of 27.81 at the Greyhound Invitational and was a member of the 4x400-meter relay team that took fourth at the Dick Shea Invite. Hepworth was named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
Indoor Track: Competed in six meets. Ran a season-best time of 27.70 in the 200-meter dash at the Valentine Invitational and Clocked her fastest 60-meter dash in her first collegiate meet, finishing in 8.51 at the Upstate Challenge.
Before Colgate: Earned four varsity letters in both indoor and outdoor track and field at Garden City High School. Hepworth helped lead the track team to two county championships and one division championship as a sprinter. She captured the county title in the 55, and 300-meter dashes and was part of the winning 4x200-meter relay team and also was a member of the 4x100-meter relay team that captured the 2005 outdoor county championship. Hepworth won the 100-meter dash in 2006 and earned all-county honors in the 55-dash as a senior. She was also a part of the all-conference indoor 4x200-meter relay team in 2007 and was awarded the team’s Rookie of the Year in 2004. Hepworth was named the underclassmen most valuable player in 2005 and the upperclassmen most valuable player in 2006. She captained the indoor and outdoor track teams her senior year. Hepworth was a member of the French Honor Society and a member of the National Honor Society.
Personal: Emily Rebecca Hepworth was born in Mineola, New York. She is the daughter of Michael and Judith Hepworth and has two sisters. Her major is Philosophy and History.
