Junior Year (2010-11): Outdoor Track: Competed in four events: the 100m, 200m, 400m, and 800m ... finished fifth overall in the 400m at the Patriot League Outdoor Championships with a time of 58.03 ... was also a member of the first place 4x400-meter relay team at the PL Championships ... Sophomore Year (2009-10): Outdoor Track: Competed in four events: the 100m, 200m, 400m, and 800m. Atkinson ran at Hamilton College where she recorded her best time in the 100m with a time of 13.13. Also at Hamilton College she recorded her season-best time in the 200m, 26.23. Atkinson posted a season-best time of 57.93 in the 400m at the Cornell Big Red Open and had a season-best of 2:20.73 in the 800m at the Princeton Sam Howell Invitational. Indoor Track: Competed in three events: the 200m, 500m, and 800m. She recorded her season best time of 26.79 in the 200m at the Syracuse Invitational and ran a 1:20.53 at the Cornell Upstate Challenge in the 500m. At the Syracuse University Welcome Back, Atkinson ran a season-best of 2:28.21 in the 800m.

Freshman Year (2008-09): Outdoor Track: Competed in the 200m, 400m, and 800m. Recorded a season-best time of 26.95 in the 200m at the Greyhound Invite and finished eighth with a season-best time of 58.77 in the 400m at the Patriot League Championship. Atkinson had a season-best time of 2:20.00 in the 800m at the Sam Howell Invitational. Indoor Track: Ran in three events: the 400m, 500m and 800m. She recorded a season-best time of 1:02.47 in the 400m at the Upstate Challenge and finished sixth with a season-best time of 1:21.24 in the 500m at the Syracuse Welcome Back. Atkinson had a season-best time of 2:26.46 in the 800m at the Syracuse Invitational.

High School: A four-year letter winner in track and field at Weston High School. She was named senior co-captain and was a four-time all-state member in multiple events (100, 200, 300, 400 and 600). Atkinson earned all-New England honors in the 4x800 relay (2006). She captured first-team all-conference honors all four years. Atkinson was named rookie of the year in 2005 (indoor) and was named indoor and outdoor team MVP for four straight seasons. She also earned three varsity letters for field hockey.

Personal: Alexandra Kathryn Atkinson was born in Munich, Germany. Daughter of Dean and Claudia Atkinson. She has one brother and one sister. Her major is History.
