Indoor Track: Competed in two events for the Raiders. Marion ran a season-best of 10:48.87 in the 3,000-meter run at the Syracuse University Welcome Back Invitational.
Sophomore Year (2008-09): Outdoor Track: Did not compete.
Indoor Track: Competed in six meets. She ran a season-best time of 10:48.95 in the 3,000-meter run at the Syracuse Welcome Back Meet and posted a season-best time of 2:32.71 in the 800-meter run at the Syracuse Invitational.
Freshman Year (2007-08): Outdoor Track: Colgate’s top distance runner. Marion was named the Colgate Female Rookie of the Year and ran the second-fastest 10,000 in program history in 37:07.10 to finish second in the season-opening meet at the Dick Shea Invite. She finished eighth in the 5,000 at the prestigious Colonial Relays with a time of 17:41.69 and ranks third in Colgate history in the 5k. Marion clocked a season-best in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:52.21 at the Bison Outdoor Classic. Marion was named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
Indoor Track: Led the Raiders in the distance races. She qualified for the ECAC Championship in the 5,000 and earned all-Patriot League second-team honors with a runner-up finish in the 3,000 at the Patriot League Championship with a time of 10:06.90. Marion ranks third all-time in Colgate history. She won the 3,000 at the Syracuse Invitational with a time of 10:10.00 and qualified for the ECAC Championship in the 5,000 with a time of 17:22.14 to finish seventh at the Valentine Invitational. Marion took third in the 5k at the Patriot League Championship and won the mile at the Class of ’32 Invitational with a time of 5:13.68. Marion earned Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors following her a fourth-place showing in the 5k in her first collegiate meet.
Before Colgate: Earned three varsity letters in both cross country and track and field and four letters in cross country skiing for Simsbury High School. She helped lead Simsbury to the Class L Cross Country Championship and Cross Country State Open Runner-Up as a senior. Marion guided the track and field team to the state open championship in 2006 and the Class L Championship in 2007. Marion earned all-State, all-Central Connecticut North Conference and all-Class L cross country honors in 2004, 2005, and 2006 and was team captain for the cross country team as a senior. She ran a career-best 5k of 19:34 and was a three-time all-Central Connecticut North Conference selection. Marion garnered all-state, all-New England, and all-Class L track accolades as a senior and was team captain of the track team as a senior. She owns career PRs of 2:21 in the 800-meter run and turned in a season-best time of 5:04 in the 1,600 and 10:55 in the 3,200 as a senior. Marion was voted the Most Valuable Player for track in 2007 and earned all-Berkshire League for cross country skiing in 2006-07. She was team captain for cross country skiing as a junior and senior. Marion was a member of the National Art Honor Society and a member of the National Honor Society.
