Freshman Year (2009): Sauter started off her first collegiate season with an excellent race at the Harry Lang Invitational.  Sauter had a strong kick in the last 1000m finishing in 17:49 for the 4.4k course. She had an outstanding freshman year running an impressive 19.27 at the Albany meet. She also had a strong performance on Colgate’s hilly 6k course running a 24.31.

Before Colgate: Ran Cross Country and Indoor Track all four years, as well as competing in Outdoor Track her junior and senior years ... earned a total of 10 Varsity letters ... All four years of Cross Country Sauter made the All-State team, finishing a personal best of 5th place overall in the State Championship race ... She was also named her team’s Most Valuable Player four times in Cross Country, four times in Indoor Track, and twice in Outdoor Track ... ran mid-distance and distance events ranging from the 400m to the 5000m ... personal bests include 58.0 in the 400m, 2:17 in the 800m, 4:47 in the 1500m, 10:42 in the 3000m, and 18:30 in the 5000m.
