Biography

Junior Year (2009): Hooley is a leader on and off the field. She is not only a Co-Captain of the Cross Country team as a junior, but she also is a key contributor to the team's overall success. Hooley began the season strong at the Harry Lang Invitational, dropping 18 seconds of her sophomore year time. She ran an impressive time at the Albany Invitational despite the fact that she was tripped in the first straight away, crossing the 5k at 18.54. She then went on to run another impressive time at the Paul Short 6k, finishing in 23.15.

Hooley is an involved member of the Colgate Community. She is a tour-guide on campus and is a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)

Sophomore Year (2008): Hooley had an outstanding Cross Country season, consistently finishing in the top 8 for the Raiders in the 7 races she completed. Hooley's season personal record for the 5k was 19:48 at the Albany Invitational while her season-best for the 6k was 23:25 at the Patriot League Championship, where she finished 4th for Colgate. Hooley proved to be a vital component to the team, as she finished 3rd for the Raiders at the ECAC Championship clocking a time of 20:06 for the 5k course.

Freshman Year (2007): Hooley was instantly a great addition to the Colgate Cross Country team. She competed in six season races. Hooley finished the season with a PR in the 5k with a time of 19:38 at the Albany Invitational and clocked her best 6k time at the Patriot League Championship, finishing in 23:34.

Before Colgate: Hooley was an eleven-season Varsity letter winner, earning four letters in Cross Country and Outdoor Track, and three letters in Indoor Track. She was a three-season Captain in Cross Country, Indoor Track, and Outdoor Track. Her Senior year, Hooley helped lead Fayetteville Manlius to a first place victory at the Cross Country  Nike National meet. She finished her high school career with a personal record of 10:24 in the 3000m and 4:50 in the 1500m. Her success during both the Cross Country and Track and Field season earned Hooley 1st team All-League and 5th team All-State.

Hooley was very involved off the field. She was a member of the National Honors Society and NYS Science Honor Society.
