Colgate University Athletics

Senior Year (2011): Lyons had a very successfull senior year, contributing greatly to the success of the Raiders' season.  She started off the season finishing second on the team and eigth overall at the Harry Lang Invitational with a time of 17:05 in the 4k race.  She then finished second on the team at the Colgate Invitational with a time of 22:46. She also finished second on the team at the Paul Short Run with a time of 22:49.  She finished fourth at the Penn State Invitational with a time of 23:58, helping the Raiders finish 14th overall out of 29 teams.  She finished her season and career with a great performance at the Patriot League Championships, finishing second on the team and 14th overall with a time of 23:04.6.

Sophomore Year (2009): Kendall Lyons was unable to run her sophomore year due to an injury obtained over the summer.

Freshman Year (2008): Lyons had a stellar first Cross Country season. She started off the year with bang as she finished 3rd for Colgate at the Harry Lang Invitational. Lyons hit a season-best for the 5k running 19:21 at the University of Albany and a season-best for the 6k running 23:34 at the Paul Short Invitational. Lyons proved to be a huge contributor to the team finishing 2nd for Colgate at the NCAA Championship.

Before Colgate: Was a three-year Varsity letter winner in Cross Country and Indoor Track ... was also a four-year Varsity letter winner in Outdoor Track ... served as Captain for the Outdoor Track and Cross Country teams and was captain of Indoor Track her senior year ... as a senior she earned 42nd in the New England Cross Country meet, assisting her team for a fourth place overall finish ... her strong performances in Cross Country earned her the title of MVP as  junior ... she also earned the Leadership Award for Cross Country, Indoor Track, and Outdoor Track her senior year ... her personal records include 5:20 for the mile, 2:19 for the 800m ... was also a member of the National Honors Society, Knitwitts, Key Club, and the Wilton Running Club.

Personal: Kendall Lyons was born in Wilton, Conn., the daughter of Joseph and Cindy Lyons. Lyons has  two siblings, Kerri and Paige Lyons ... major is psychology.
