Coach Dan Hunt on Grant: "Grant is a three-year starter and has made himself a solid player. It doesn't necessary always comes easy to Grant but he makes it so he can thrive. I can say there are very few kids in my time here who want to win as much as Grant. He gave up all his summers to be up here. He's extremely interested in being successful. He wants to make sure that he's right. His head is always in the right place. He's thinking about football, he's thinking about what can help his team and he wants to be good. He wants the team to win. It's extremely important to him and that's an attitude where if you get 22 guys who winning is important to, you're going to win. That's what he's going to leave us. You can will yourself to being a good player if it's important to you, and it certainly is important to Grant."
