Coach Hunt on Alec: "He's a game-changer. He can turn a game around with one play and that's hard to say as a defensive back and I'm not talking necessarily about getting an interception. He can pick a team up with a hit. He's one of if not the most physical tacklers we've ever had. What separates him is that he's going to have the big hit, but he's never going to go for it and miss a tackle. He's going to get you down, he's going to be in the right place. There have just been countless occasions where the energy has been cranked up immediately after one of his hits. He plays through nagging little injuries and finds a way to get back out on the field. He loves the game of football and it's contagious, and you can't help but be better just by being around him. I'm going to miss him and I know he's going to be successful. He's a quality human being."

2017 (Senior)
Games/Starts: 11/11

Four pass breakups ... Part of Colgate defense that held opponents to 17.5 points per game -- lowest program average since 1981 ... Raider defense did not allow touchdown over season's final 15 quarters ... Colgate led Patriot League in rushing defense (115.0, 20th nationally) and scoring defense.
Best Games: Interceptions against Richmond, Furman and Cornell ... Season-high 11 tackles (9 solo) at Buffalo ... Eight tackles in starting debut to spark 20-17 win at No. 23 Cal Poly ... Seven tackles vs. Lehigh and six against Holy Cross ... Tackles-for-loss against Lehigh and Georgetown.

Coach Hunt on Alec: "A football player's football player. He's one of the guys who has one speed – full speed. Loves the game. He sees the big picture of what a program should be and not just what a defensive back should be. He makes suggestions to me about how to run the program – and they're good ones. He's a true leader but he's one you worry about in practice because every play is his Super Bowl. He goes as hard as he can and sometimes he's knocking people around and knocking himself around, to be honest with you. But at the end of the day, that's what you want in a football player and that's what you want in a football team. His vision of what a football team can be and what a football player should be, both on and off the field – he should write a book because he's got it right. I've learned a lot from him and I'm really happy he will be back next year because the sky's the limit for that kid."
