Colgate Falls to Lafayette in Easton

Falcon wins twice as Raiders drop hard-fought contest, 4-3

Box Score EASTON, Pa. – First-year Jerome Falcon claimed a win on doubles three and singles five, but it was not enough as the Raiders fell to Lafayette on the road, 4-3.

Falcon and partner Parker McGowan moved their record to 5-1 on the season as a duo, but the Raiders dropped the doubles decision after losses on courts one and two.

Falcon brought Colgate back, making quick work of the Leopards in the fifth singles slot with a 6-1, 6-0 win.

After a court three loss, the Raiders put together consecutive wins from Benito Vlassis on court one (6-4, 6-2) and Josh Israel on two (6-0, 6-4), moving to within one point of clinching the duel.

Protecting a 3-2 lead, Colgate could not survive on four and six, falling to the Leopards and dropping to 1-3 in conference play.
