Box Score ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Men's tennis regrouped with a dominant win on the road Sunday afternoon, romping past the Yellowjackets, 8-1. The squad swept the doubles point and only lost three sets all afternoon as they won their first match of the Spring season. 

"It's about time for the men," head coach Bobby Pennington said. "We have won five doubles points and finally put the singles together. Today was a total team effort and a much-needed win. We are 1-0 in our new season. We have had five exhausting weekends in a row and now a well-deserved bye, then a big Rider and Binghamton weekend." 

Doubles play was a breeze for the Raiders as Josh Israel/Benito Vlassis moved their record as a pair to 5-3 with an 8-7 victory while Aidan Chung/John Fazli improved to 5-1 as a duo this Spring, winning 8-3. Parker McGowan/Aidan Lee also chipped in their second-straight win on doubles two with an 8-5 triumph. 

The Raiders swept singles one through three with Vlassis playing the closest match, a 6-1, 5-7, 10-6 win on court one, while Israel (6-3, 6-1) and Ben Graham (6-4, 6-2) rolled on two and three, respectively.

After the duel was already clinched, Tejas Gupta continued his undefeated Spring campaign with an 8-2 win on singles five, and Mikey Weitz ended the weekend on a high note for Colgate with an 8-6 triumph.
