First doubles provides bright spot in 7-0 loss

Box Score PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Benito Vlassis and Josh Israel moved their record to 4-0 in doubles one this spring when they picked up a 6-3 triumph in a 7-0 loss at Duquesne.

Despite the first doubles victory, the Raiders ceded the doubles point when Ben Graham/Aidan Lee fell on court two (1-6) and Aidan Chung/John Fazli dropped their first doubles match of the spring (4-6)  on court three.

Israel took his opponent to three sets in singles one, but the Raiders were ultimately swept in singles play.

However, first-year Jerome Falcon gave Duquesne all it could handle on court five, losing a 6-4, 3-6. 11-13 heartbreaker.
