VILLANOVA, Pa. – Men's Tennis collected an outstanding 13 wins on day two and finished with 19 total victories over the weekend in the two-day Villanova Invitational.
The Villanova Invitational posed a great challenge for the Raiders to compete against some of the best. Among the teams competing in the weekend invitational included Colgate, Villanova, Bucknell, Lehigh, Lafayette, and St. Joseph's. The Invitational was set to be a three-day weekend but was caught short due to rain on Sunday.
The format of the Invitational is like no other, with a Blue Draw and a White Draw each featuring a 16-team bracket. Each matchup consists of a doubles match and two singles matches in a best-of-three-format. The team that wins two of the three matches advances in the bracket.
Ben Graham and
Aidan Chung were fantastic in their pairings, battling all the way through to the championship round in the White Draw. The duo defeated groups from Lehigh and Villanova.
Freshman
Max Litton was phenomenal in singles matches, going a perfect 3-0, while senior captains
Mason Caldwell and
Dean Vlassis went undefeated in doubles play.
