WEST POINT, N.Y.—The Colgate Men's Tennis team was defeated 4-1 in the Patriot League quarterfinals by Lehigh Friday afternoon at Lichtenberg Tennis Center.
The match started off with a bang thanks to the doubles teams of
Tyler Krantz with
Scott Bickel and
Rohan Gupta with
Nick Potter. Krantz and Bickel cruised to a 6-2 decision and Gupta and Potter took their match to the limit before they claimed a 7-5 win.
The Mountain Hawks came alive in singles play.
Noah Rosenblat and
Alec Dardis both won four games in one of their sets, but all matches that were decided before the clinch ended in straight sets.
Bickel led after one set in his match, but was unable to finish.
The match also puts a close on the careers of Rosenblat and Dardis, who are both set to graduate next month.

Bobby Pennington
"An absolutely brutal ending to a brutal season. First off, that was by far the best doubles we played all year and we won the doubles point. We were playing with so much fire, heart, and aggressive energy."
"The singles was the complete opposite. Aside from Bickel, we got outplayed. We battled through sickness, injury, climate and stayed together and hungry until the end. We need to work on our fitness, depth and fine tune doubles, as our league gets tougher every way."
"Last match for Dardis and Rosenblat and we hope this was a message to the younger guys."
