SYRACUSE, N.Y.—A few points made all the difference Sunday evening at Drumlins Country Club, as the Colgate Men's Tennis team fell 5-2 to Lehigh in a Patriot League match.
Noah Rosenblat and
Kun Tan got the Raiders off to a good start when they won their doubles match by a 6-4 tally.
Scott Bickel and
Peter Hartman nearly secured the doubles point in the team score, as they narrowly fell by a 6-4 score.
Rosenblat kept his strong day going at number two singles. He lost his opening set, then came roaring back to claim a pair of competitive sets to take home a 1-6, 6-4, 6-3 decision.
Bickel also looked strong at number one. He came out red hot with a 6-0 victory in the opening set, then completed the straight set win with a 6-4 decision in the final set.
At number six, Tan had a barnburner that narrowly didn't go his way. He was victorious with a full 7-6 win in the first set, then fell in the following two sets to drop a three set decision.

Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach
Bobby Pennington
"That was a high level, tremendous tennis match by both teams. Credit to Lehigh, as they are a well-coached and much improved team."
"The doubles literally came down to one single point at number one doubles, as we played lights out at number two doubles with Tan and Rosenblat. Singles was an absolute bloodbath and we came up just short."
"Game balls to
Scott Bickel for beating an elite player routinely and captain
Noah Rosenblat for winning both.
Kun Tan was a hair away and lost in three sets."
"We enter a bye weekend and the entire regular season comes down to Bucknell and Boston University at home."
