Raiders Improve to 3-2 in Patriot League Play with 7-0 Victory Over Leopards

QUAKERTOWN, Pa. – Colgate Men's Tennis posted its seventh sweep of the season on Sunday as it blanked conference foe Lafayette, 7-0, in Patriot League action at the Tennis Zone.

The Raiders made short work of the Leopards in doubles action, winning all three matches by 6-3 scores to take a 1-0 lead. Jacob Daugherty and Noah Rosenblat defeated Chris Kim and Matthew DeBenedetto at No. 1 doubles, Nick Laub and Bobby Alter knocked off Mason Keel and Chris Matturri in the second doubles flight while Win Reynolds and Jake Hirschberg were victorious against Gavin Studner and Andrew Reed at No. 3 doubles.

Singles action saw Colgate win all six matches, including five in straight sets, to complete the sweep. Daugherty defeated Matturri in the top singles flight, 6-0, 6-3. Laub rallied to knock off Studner at No. 2 singles, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, while Rosenblat turned in a 6-2, 6-2, triumph over Reed at No. 3 singles.

Alter did not drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0, victory over De Bendetto at No. 4 singles and Hirschberg posted a 6-2, 6-2, victory over Keel in the fifth singles flight. Reynolds posted an 8-1 triumph over Kim in a single pro-style set at No. 6 singles.
