Jade Dennett tallied her first goal of the season, but six first-half goals propelled Hofstra to a 7-1 victory over Colgate in collegiate field hockey action Sunday at Tyler's Field.
Junior Lauren del Valle tallied four goals, all in the first 16:38 of the contest, to propel the Pride to six unanswered goals to open the game before Dennett stuck just before the half to make a 6-1 contest at the break. Hofstra added an insurance marker in the final five minutes to close out the scoring.

How It Happened- Hofstra junior Lauren Del Valle notched four goals in the first 16:38 of the contest to give the Pride a commanding 4-0 advantage.
- Junior Charlotte Loehr and senior Jonel Boileau added goals later in the opening frame extend the Hofstra margin to 6-0 before Dennett teamed up with senior Rebecca Libutti and junior Jessica Gardiner on a penalty corner with less than two minutes remaining in the half to get the Raiders on the board and make a 6-1 game.
- Hofstra sophomore Claudia Marin Samper closed out the scoring with a goal at the 65:24 mark of the contest to make it 7-1.
Key Raider Info- Dennett tallied her first goal of the season while Gardnier and Libutti both picked up their first assists of the campaign.
