WEST POINT, N.Y. (3/31/12) – The Colgate women's tennis team continued its league schedule on Saturday with a 7-0 loss to Army.
Army won the doubles point as the Black Knights were victorious in all three matches.
Alex Petrini and
Stephanie Brown were put at the top spot in the lineup for doubles and they dropped an 8-4 decision, while
Kelsey Shea and
Kelsey Wanhainen lost at No. 2 and
Merideth Rock and
Jackie Finn fell in the third spot.
In singles play, Petrini was the only Raider to reach a third set. She came up short in the opening set and fired back with a 7-6 win in the second set after a 7-2 win in the tie-breaker. She then dropped the third set and the match.
Colgate will be back in action tomorrow as the Raiders travel to Lafayette.
