VERONA, N.Y. (4/17/10) - The Colgate women's tennis team dropped their semi-final match of the Patriot League Tournament to top-seeded Army, 4-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Sportsplex at Turning Stone. The Raiders close out the 2010 season 9-7 overall.
“The Final score was definitely misleading,” noted head coach

The Black Knights won both the second and third doubles matches to claim the doubles point and earn a 1-0 lead heading into singles action. Colgate senior
Samantha Inacker (Lake Forest, Ill.) and sophomore
Stephanie Bender (Amityville, N.Y.) fell to Army's Annie Houghton and Jessica Ahn, 8-0, at the No. 2 position. Partners
Jackie Stimmel (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) and
Merideth Rock (Kansas City, Mo.) dropped their third doubles match, 8-4, to Michael Tollerton and Robie Verano, while senior duo
Elise DeRose (Williamsville, N.Y.) and
Cameron Williams (Winnetka, Ill.) battled back to 6-7 with Army's Erin Colton and Annie Hang but did not finish play.
In singles action, Ahn won the Black Knights second point of the game, defeating Williams, 6-1, 6-1, at the No. 3 spot.
