FINAL RESULTS

HAMILTON, N.Y. (11/6/10) –
The Colgate women's swimming and diving team dropped only one race all afternoon in a 209-89 win over Boston College at Lineberry Natatorium on Saturday.

The Raiders got three individual wins from senior Caren Guyett (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) and senior captain Erin McGraw (Penfield, N.Y.), while sophomore Lia Kunnapas (Hasbrouck Heights, N.J.) and sophomore Emma Santoro (Fall River, Mass.) contributed two wins apiece. Sophomore Kim Pilka (Great Falls, Va.) continued to dive well early on in the season, sweeping both events today.

The day started out well with a win in the 400-yard medley relay as Kunnapas, McGraw, Santoro and rookie Claire Hunter (Rye, N.Y.) combined for the victory at 3:54.30.

Guyett started her impressive outing with a win in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:28.26, while McGraw followed up with a win in the 200-yard freestyle at 1:53.99. Kunnapas got started in the 100-yard backstroke with a first-place finish at 57.16. Santoro was next with a win in the 100-yard breaststroke at 1:06.59.

Sophomore Ryan Marynowski (White Plains, N.Y.) earned her individual win in the 200-yard fly with a time of 2:09. The next event was the 50-yard and the Raiders swept the first three places. Guyett led the way with a time of 24.49 and Hunter was second at 24.89. Rookie Hannah Fitton (Appleton, Wis.) was third with time of 25.02.

McGraw won her second event of the day with a swim of 52.80 in the 100-yard freestyle and Kunnapas got her second win as she swam in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:05.69. The 200-yard breaststroke was up next and Santoro won her second event of the day with a swim of 2:24.48.

Junior Jenna Daly (Garden City, N.Y.) came through in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:12.27 for a first-place finish. McGraw followed up with her third win of the day in the 100-yard butterfly at 57.34. In the final individual event of the day, Guyett earned the hat trick with a time of 2:10.72 in the 200-yard individual medley.

Pilka swept both diving events with a score of 266.54 in the 1-meter dive and also won the 3-meter dive at 270.6.

Colgate will be back in action tomorrow afternoon on Senior Day as the Raiders host Boston University at 1 p.m. at Lineberry Natatorium.
