Raiders Drop Midweek Game to Bucknell

Bishara equals career-best seven points

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Ella Bishara's seven-point performance was not enough as the Raiders fell 12-10 to Bucknell at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium on Wednesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Aubrey McMahon capitalized on a free position shot to tie the game at 1-1 early on. Ella Bishara, assisted by Sarah Marcovici, quickly followed with another goal, giving Colgate a brief lead.

Bucknell responded with a scoring run, netting three consecutive goals to shift the momentum and establish a 4-2 advantage. Colgate answered when Sarah Marcovici, assisted by Ella Bishara, narrowed the deficit to 4-3. Despite Colgate's efforts, the Bison extended their lead with two more goals to close the quarter ahead, 6-3.

The second quarter began with a swift goal by Colgate's Ella Bishara just 27 seconds in. Bishara continued her scoring streak with a player-up goal at 7:43, bringing Colgate within one. Although the Bison responded with a goal by Estella Geller, Colgate's offense capitalized late in the quarter as Bishara scored again, this time assisted by Grace Delnegro, narrowing the gap. The quarter concluded with a draw control by Cavallo, leaving Colgate trailing by two, 8-6.

The Bison opened the third quarter with momentum, scoring two early goals by Katie Browne and Katie Powers to extend their lead. Colgate responded with Bishara scoring with an assist from Marcovici. Cavallo secured the ensuing draw control, and Colgate capitalized on the player-up opportunity with a goal from Katie Walsh, assisted by McMahon.

Despite the Bison's efforts to regain control, Colgate's defense, led by Stevens with multiple saves, held strong to close the quarter. The scoreboard reflected a determined effort by Colgate, closing the quarter with a score of 10-8 in favor of the Bison.

In the fourth quarter, Colgate initiated a scoring effort with McMahon netting a goal at the 11:00 mark, narrowing the Bison's lead. Following a successful draw control by Cavallo, Walsh scored with an assist from Bishara, leveling the score at 10-10.

The Bison responded with a player-up goal by Megan Krestinski, reclaiming the lead. Despite Colgate's efforts to regain momentum, including another draw control by Cavallo and a timeout in the final minutes, the Bison extended their lead with a goal from Caleigh Cummiskey. Colgate fell 12-10 in the end.

GAME NOTES

Ella Bishara equaled her career best in single-game scoring with seven points. Bishara last reached this total on April 23, 2025 against Army.
Maddie Stevens made 11 saves in net for the Raiders.
Aubrey McMahon added three points and now sits just six points shy of the 100-point mark.
Sarah Marcovici logged her second three-point performance of the season.
