McCabe Ties for 13th; Colgate Climbs Two Spots to Finish Seventh

PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. – Dugan McCabe fired a two-under-par 70 to lead Colgate to a seventh-place finish on Sunday at the Temple Invitational at The 1912 Club.

Seventy-eight golfers from 14 teams competed in this weekend's two-day, 36-hole Temple Invitational which was held at the par-70, 7,062-yard, The 1912 Club.

"The golf course got the best of us this week," said head coach JP Kircher. "We seemed to keep ending up in the wrong spots, which is very difficult on a hard course. Dugan played some very good golf, and without a bad break on the last hole of round one he would've had two nice rounds. Great to see Robbie bounce back with a very good score today, in windier conditions. Having a week off to clean up some areas in our games will be good before Lake Placid."

McCabe's 145 (+5) two-day score landed him in a tie for 13th place and led Colgate's scoring contingent. He was tied with five other golfers and one stroke shy of a top-10 finish. Kevin Hollomon's 149 (+9) scorecard placed him in a tie for 35th.

Justin Fedele, Colgate's leader after Saturday's opening round, turned in a 151 (+11) scorecard, tied with teammates Robbie Herzig and Leo Li for 40th place on the individual leaderboard.

Colgate climbed two spots to finish seventh in the two-day tournament, posting a 297-292=589 (+29) composite score – one stroke behind Lehigh for sixth. Drexel won the tournament 283-283=566 (+6).
