HAMILTON – For the second time in her Colgate career, Kara Fusco has been named to the Softball All-Patriot League Second Team, announced by the conference Tuesday afternoon.
The junior led the Raiders in batting average (.289), hits (44), RBI (32), and total bases (71) this season. Fusco paced the defensive with putouts (294) and catches (308).
The Collegeville, Pa., native put out a career-high 20 batters against Lehigh on April 15 and recorded her 100th career hit against Army West Point (5/6).
Fusco slammed a season-high five homers this year, including a game-winning bomb in Colgate's 4-3 victory that clinched a sweep over Holy Cross (4/9).
The infielder heads into her senior season with 101 hits, a .276 batting average, 37 runs, 11 home runs, 60 RBI, and a .445 slugging percentage.
