Junior outfielder continues torrid stretch at the plate

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Colgate Softball junior outfielder Nora Megenity has been named Patriot League Player of the Week for the second consecutive week, the league announced on Monday.

Megenity continued her torrid stretch at the plate, leading Colgate to a 2-1 weekend series victory at Holy Cross. The leadoff hitter slashed an impressive .545 (6-for-11) with a .818 slugging percentage and a .583 on-base percentage, pacing the Raiders offensively.

The junior belted her team-leading 12th home run of the season and compiled four RBIs, four runs scored, a walk, and a stolen base (1-for-1) while not striking out in any of her plate appearances. She extended her hitting streak to eight games in the process.

Megenity delivered a standout performance in Sunday's 14-0 series-clinching victory, going 3-for-4 with four RBIs and three runs scored, highlighted by a two-run home run.

A consistent catalyst at the top of the lineup, Megenity was a guiding force behind Colgate's seven-game winning streak, which included the program's best Patriot League start since 2012. This marks Megenity's second straight Player of the Week honor.
