EASTON, Pa. – Colgate continued its spring upswing with a runner-up finish at Lafayette's Abarta Coca-Cola Collegiate Invitational on Tuesday. The Raiders posted a two-day score of 577 (+1), tied for second and seven shots behind first-place Lehigh. 

Akhil Giri and Dugan McCabe both finished even par to lead four Raiders inside the top 15. Giri jumped seven spots with a one-over-par 73 en route to a 144 two-day total, tied with McCabe for ninth on the individual leaderboard. McCabe posted a steady 70-74=144. 

Robbie Herzig was Colgate's biggest climber on Monday, firing an even-par 72 to finish with a one-over-par 145, tied with Justin Fedele for 15th place. Fedele posted a 72-73=145. 

Mark Gertsen moved up 15 spots with a one-over-par 73 and registered a two-day score of 149 (+5) to place in a tie for 43rd. Wyatt Petersen, playing as an individual, tied for 54th with a seven-over-par 151. 

Colgate's second-place finish out of 17 teams competing marked its best of the season. The Raiders have finished inside the top 10 in three of the last four tournaments, including third place or better in two of the last three competitions.

Colgate hosts the Upstate Battle this weekend at Seven Oaks Golf Club April 22-23 for its final spring tune-up before the Patriot League championship April 28-30 in Phoenix, Md.
