HAMILTON – Colgate University Head Women's Lacrosse Coach
Kathy Taylor announced 11 newcomers who will be joining the program for 2022-23.
The Raiders welcome 10 incoming freshmen and a junior transfer this fall. Taylor's incoming class features five attackers, three midfielders, two defenders, and a goalkeeper who together hail from six different states. This year's newcomers join a strong group of 25 returners in 2022.
"We are excited to have this talented well-balanced incoming class on campus and we're anxious to get going," Taylor said. "Our staff can already feel the team excitement as the first years are being folded into the growing program and the returners embrace their addition.
"This class is intentionally attack-heavy in an effort to increase our scoring ability and depth on offense. Partnered with the speed and talent in the midfield, we see great fast-break scoring opportunities ahead. While we return a great core of defenders, we are thrilled to add two new defensive players and a veteran goalie to the program."
