WILLIAMSBURG, VA  On the final day of ECAC competition, two Raiders competed off the track in individual field events at the Walter J. Zable Stadium at Cary Field on the campus of The College of William and Mary. As the morning fog gave way, the sun came out and sent the temps souring in the afternoon as the competition began.
 
The first event to start the competition early on Sunday morning was the women's discus. Junior Dominique Groguhe recorded her best mark on her third throw of the competition with a distance of 42.45 meters (139' 3"). The school record holder finished 11^th in the competition and will look to continue bettering her school record next season for the Raiders.
 
In the final event of the meet, Rachel Schaaf jumped out with a big jump on her first attempt with a leap of 11.97 meters (39' 3 ¼"). She followed that up with three other solid jumps to yield her second best series of the season and an eighth place finish for the graduating senior. Schaaf leaves Colgate as the outdoor school record holder in the triple jump (12.34 meters,  40' 6") and the heptathlon with a score of 4128 points.

"Like many of the seniors on the team, I am really sad to see the season come to an end. I could not be prouder of the efforts put forth by our kids and our staff this season. I feel like we are turning the corner as our kids have raised their own expectations on the things we can accomplish as a program. While the majority of our team will be returning next season, we are at this point in large part because of our 13 seniors. This week seniors Rachel Schaaf, Sophia Manners and Dillon Aryeh again led by example, while our underclass showed that there are still good things to come and are anxiously awaiting their turn to take the reigns."
