HELLERTOWN, Pa. –
Colgate capped off a strong weekend of golf with a 301 (+13) final round on Sunday to finish tied for fourth in the Patriot League championship.

Tyburski Named Coach of the Year
Colgate's memorable 2021-22 season comes to a close but it didn't end without well-deserved honors. Head Coach Keith Tyburski was named the Patriot League Coach of the Year for the first time in his career.

The winningest head coach in program history guided Colgate to one of its most successful seasons. The Raiders in 2021-22 broke the 18-hole, 36-hole and 54-hole team totals. Colgate posted six top-5 finishes, including a pair of runner-ups at Cornell and Binghamton.

"It's a tremendous honor to receive this award," Tyburski said. "It's humbling and motivating to be viewed by my peers this way and deserving of this honor. I'm grateful for everyone who has provided me with the guidance and support to get us to this point. I'll cherish the award but I want to keep raising the bar for our program and elevating our performance in every area."

More from Head Coach Keith Tyburski

"This tournament had a little bit of everything – some high moments and some challenging moments but above all else it was a great experience for our guys to be in the final group.

"Winning a Patriot League championship is our annual goal, so to be in contention on Sunday is certainly very positive. Although today didn't go our way, the experience for our team will hopefully pay dividends for us moving forward.

"This was a very positive year for us. Everyone top to bottom made key strides and raised the bar for our program. Breaking records is something that we want to continue to monitor and track, but obviously winning as a team and winning tournaments are things we want to make an annual goal. The individual awards are evident that we're moving in the right direction."
