Sophomore becomes Colgate’s third to earn league honor in as many weeks

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Less than 24 hours after carding a 65 in the final round to win the Bucknell Invitational, sophomore Brayden Dock was named the Patriot League Golfer of the Week.

Colgate Golf wraps up the fall with three consecutive weeks of earning the Patriot League's top honor – and it's been three different Raiders in the spotlight. Alex Hill and then Jayden Freedman before Dock's sparkling performance on Tuesday in Lewisburg.

Dock climbed from 19th to first on the final day of the 54-hole tournament, shooting a 5-under 65 which was the second best round all-time on record. Robbie Herzig '25 posted an 8-under 65 in April 2024, which stands as the lowest round in Colgate Golf program history.

Dock, a sophomore from Glens Falls, N.Y., charged the leaderboard with five birdies on Tuesday, including two on the final three holes to win by one stroke. He finished 1-under for the tournament with a 72-72-65 (-1) three-day scorecard at the par-70 Bucknell Golf Club.

Colgate shot 3-over as a team on Tuesday, its best round of the tournament, to finish in sole possession of third place with an aggregate score of 863 (+23).

The Raiders continued their recent success in Lewisburg, taking third as a team, marking the third consecutive year they have finished in the top three at the annual tournament at the Bucknell Golf Club.
