Colgate Wraps Up ABARTA Collegiate Invite

Raiders Move Up Four Spots on Final Day at the Steel Club

HELLERTOWN, Pa. – Colgate wrapped up the ABARTA Collegiate Invitational with a 15th place finish on Monday afternoon at the Steel Club hosted by Lafayette.

Competing on the same course that will host the Patriot League championship at the end of the month, Colgate shaved off 14 strokes in the final round Monday to finish with a 312-298=610 (+34) composite. The Raiders finished in sole possession of 15th place in the team standings.

Dugan McCabe was Colgate's biggest mover in the final round. The sophomore added to his single-season program record of rounds of par or better with his 11th of the season on Monday, posting a one-under-par 71 to climb 28 spots and finish tied for 44th at 79-71=150 (+6).

Jack Maguire was one stroke back of McCabe and finished tied for 52nd with a 76-75=151 (+7) final card. Kevin Hollomon also carded a three-over-par 75 on Monday to claim a tie for 60th place with a 77-75=152 (+8) composite.

Akhil Giri improved his score by three strokes and finished +13 overall with an 80-77=157 total. Michael Hanratty also shot three strokes better on Monday, posting an 81-78=159 (+15) composite.

Iona and Lafayette shared the team title at 580 (+4) overall for the two-day tournament.

UP NEXT
With two more tune-ups before the Patriot League championship, the Raiders are back in action next Monday and Tuesday for the Wildcat Spring Invitational hosted by Villanova at the Radnor Valley Country Club.
