HAMILTON – Colgate University's
Dugan McCabe shot a third round one over par 73 to take medalist honors at the Colgate University Alex Lagowitz Memorial Invitational Tournament. McCabe who was tied for the lead after the second round held off three other players for the one stroke victory. McCabe finished with a two under par 214 over the three day tourney.
McCabe led Colgate to a fourth place finish in the 15 team tournament. Yale University took the team title with a two under par total of 862 in the 54 hole six-man event to outdistance runner up Seton Hall by 15 strokes. The University of Rhode Island finished third 20 strokes back while Colgate shot 885.
The Raiders
Robbie Herzig (222, +6) and
Michael Hanratty (223, +7) finished among the top 27 players.
McCabe is the first Colgate player to finish as medalist in the tournament since Ryan Allison in 2014.
