SYRACUSE, N.Y.—Villanova took a hot start from doubles and went on to top the Colgate Men's Tennis team 6-1 Saturday night at the Drumlins Country Club.
Rohan Gupta and
Jack Ablon fell in a tight 7-6 match at doubles, as the Raiders lost the doubles point to begin the night.
Ablon continued his strong day at singles, as the sophomore was the lone winner for Colgate. He was victorious by a 6-1, 2-6, 10-7 final at the number five spot.

"Brutal day for the men," said Pennington. "Aside from Gupta and Ablon, we came out flat in doubles."
"In singles, credit to Ablon for pulling out a marathon and Bickel for going the distance," said Pennington. "We will learn and tweak a few things for Niagara tomorrow."
