Bellwether Game
Starting in 1997 when the Raiders captured their first conference crown, the winner of the Colgate-Lehigh game has gone on to claim the Patriot League title 15 times in those 20 years (Lehigh 8, Colgate 7). Each team added won one championship when not winning this game: Lehigh in 1999 shared the title with Colgate, and Colgate in 2005 shared it with Lafayette despite the loss to the Mountain Hawks.
Â
The Raiders lead the back-and-forth series against Lehigh by a 29-24-2 margin, but the teams have split the last 10 meetings. Colgate is 18-9 all-time against Lehigh in Hamilton.
