Assistant Coach Liz Hogan Competes for Team USA

Women's Lax Coach Plays at Champion Challenge

HAMILTON – Colgate women's lacrosse assistant coach Liz Hogan appeared for Team USA during the Champion Challenge last weekend against England, Syracuse and Northwestern.

The second year assistant coach for the Raiders played minutes in each game as the goalie for Team USA. The game was played at ESPN's Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando and featured the best players in the world. The event was also a chance for coach Ricky Fried to assess his player's as the team gets ready for the Federation of International Lacrosse World Championships this coming summer in Oshawa, Ont., Canada.

Hogan is one of three goalies on the squad, along with Devon Wills and Megan Huetber. Wills saw the most minutes during the weekend, but Hogan was able to see some playing time and hopes to be included on the final roster.

Team USA will make its final decisions this week on the final roster, which will feature 18 players.
