Johnson Wins the Patriot League Title

- Colgate junior Chris Johnson won the individual title to lead the men's cross country team at the Patriot League Championships hosted at Lehigh University Goodman Campus Saturday. The Raiders finished sixth overall with 169 points in snowy conditions in Lehigh Valley.

Johnson finished with a time of 24:53.9 to take the individual title, winning by nearly 20 seconds over the second-place finisher.

Navy won the team title with 38 points, while American was second (49) and Lehigh third (78).

Thomas Hedges was the second Raider to cross the line with a time of 26:40.9, while Timothy Phelps and Everett Stilley were third and fourth with times of 26:42.3 and 26:55.7, respectively. Mitchell Boucher wrapped up the top-5 for Colgate with a time of 27:23.5, while Christopher Wendt (27:28.1), Timothy Metivier (27:46.6), Harry Englehart (28:03.0) and Matthew Iandoli (28:12.8) also competed for the Raiders.

Colgate hits the course again when it travels to Van Cortlandt Park, N.Y., for the IC4A Championships on Nov. 12. The meet is set to begin at 11 a.m.
