Raiders Run at ECAC/IC4A Championships

Men finish 5th, Women place 13th

BRONX, N.Y. - The Colgate cross country teams competed at the IC4A/ECAC Cross Country Championships on Friday morning in Bronx, N.Y.

The women's team finished 13 out of 24 and the men's side placed fifth out of 22 teams.

COACH FRANCE'S COMMENTS
"This was a sharpening week prior to our conference meet in two weeks. Witnessed some solid performances across the board - we're always going to find ways we can improve but to witness how strong this team's bond has been this year is already a win. Looking forward to regrouping and getting back to work to peak at the right time."

WOMEN

Sophomore Nell Droege was the first Raider to cross the line at 21:37.6, finishing 15th out of 235 competitors in the women's 6k. Annie Reilly finished behind Droege at 22:23.6, with Lucia Pew crossing third for Colgate with a time of 22:44.9.

The top five was rounded out by Allison Bender and Juliet Drury, who finished in 23:15.7 and 23:44.6 respectively.

The women's team finished 13th out of 24 teams.

MEN

Senior John Griffith placed 11th out of 225 competitors, earning a time of 24:42.5 in the men's 8k event. Dakin Ebmeyer crossed the finish line next at 25:05.3, followed by Owen McMorrow (25:11.8) and William Keiser (25:16.4).

Liam Davis rounded out Colgate's top five finishers with a time of 25:27.5.

The men's team finished fifth out of 22 teams.
