ITHACA, N.Y. (1/15/11) – Senior captain
Caren Guyett continued her 2011 success with four more wins in a 169-120 victory for the Colgate women's swimming and diving team over Cornell on Saturday.
Guyett won three individual events and got started in the 200-yard freestyle with her first top finish at 1:51.98. She jumped right back in the pool in the 200-yard butterfly and came out on top with a time of 2:03.41.
Her final win was essential to the Colgate victory as the team was only up by one point with four races remaining. She swam to a first place finish in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:00.87. Her win put the Raiders up by 14 points and Colgate never gave up the lead.

Erin McGraw won two individual races with wins in the 100-yard fly and 200-yard individual medley. She posted a mark of 57.23 seconds in the butterfly event, while coming out on top in the IM with a time of 2:07.71.
Erica Derlath got the meet started for the Raiders with a first-place finish in the 1000-yard free at 10:13.9. After Guyett's two-straight wins, rookie
Claire Hunter took the win in the 100-yard free at 53.5 seconds.
Lia Kunnapas kept the momentum going with a victory in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:06.16.
Emma Santoro was another winner for the Raiders and her finish came in the 200-yard breaststroke at 2:21.86.
In the final swimming event of the meet, the women beat out the Big Red in the 400-yard freestyle relay. The team of Hunter, Kunnapas, McGraw and Guyett swam to a first-place finish with a time of 3:32.31.
Kim Pilka returned to the board for the first time in 2011 and swept both diving events. She finished with 271.49 points in the 1-meter dive and a score of 266.62 in the 3-meter dive. Her win in the 1-meter came by 27 points.
Colgate will be back in the pool on Jan. 22 as the Raiders travel south to Binghamton to face the Bearcats with Vermont also joining the meet.
