HAMILTON, N.Y. (2/27/10) – The Colgate men's lacrosse team got a goal and an assist from sophomore
Patrick Campbell (Massapequa, N.Y.), but fell to Dartmouth 7-3 in a snow covered home opener at Tyler's Field.

Michael Crown (Winnetka, Ill.) also added goals for the Raiders, who fell to 0-2 for the first time since 2008, the same year they advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
Dartmouth scored the first goal of the game with 4:17 remaining in the opening quarter, before Crown tied the game 1-1 early in the second, with his first of the season. Campbell was credited with the assist.
With just under eight minutes left in the first half, the Big Green scored to take a 2-1 halftime lead.
Dartmouth then scored four unanswered goals in the third quarter to build a 6-1 and opened the fourth quarter with its seventh to lead by six, 7-1. Colgate would try to battle back in the final three-minutes of the game with goals from Campbell and Donnally, but the game would end 7-3.
Colgate out-shot Big Green 33-26, including a dominant 15-1 performance in the fourth quarter. Both teams were successful clearing the ball out of their own zones. Colgate missed being perfect by one with 18 clears in 19 chances, while Dartmouth cleared 21-of-23.
Senior goaltender
Tim Harrington (Lutherville, Md.) made nine saves for the Raiders, while Michael Novosel made 15 in the win for Dartmouth.
Colgate will host Vermont on Tuesday (March 2). The game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. EST.
