Kevin Colleluori (Bethpage, N.Y.) scored three goals and added an assist to lead the 15th-ranked Colgate University men's lacrosse team to 12-10 victory over Lafayette, Saturday afternoon at Rappolt Field. The win extended the Raiders winning streak to a school-record eight games.
Colleluori recorded two goals in the closing period to help keep the Raiders undefeated and in a first-place tie with Bucknell in Patriot League play. Colleluori's four-point outing also placed him over the 40-point mark for the second consecutive season. Classmate
Brandon Corp (Chittenango, N.Y.) extend his scoring streak to 45-games with a three-point outing, while junior
Michael Crown (Winnetka, Ill.) recorded the first two goals of his career.
Colgate (9-3, 5-0) trailed 7-6 at halftime before Corp, and junior
Zack Craumer (Greenwich, Conn.) took control of the game in the third period. Craumer tied the game 7-7 just over a minute into the period, before Corp gave the Raiders the lead off his 30th goal of the season with 7:54 remaining. The Leopards Tom Perini tied the game 8-8, 54 seconds later, but Corp and Craumer were able to answer back at 3:54 during a man-advantage to give Colgate a 9-8 lead, a lead the Raiders would not relinquish for the rest of the game.
Crown began the fourth quarter with his second career goal and was followed by Colleluori, who recorded his second goal of the contest to extend the Raiders lead to 11-8, with just over four-minutes remaining. Lafayette wouldn't back down as it recorded two-goals in a 51 second span to trim the Raiders lead to 11-10, with 2:01 remaining. Colgate would extend its lead and end all of the scoring with 23 seconds remaining as Colleluori posted his 32nd goal of the season.
Crown opened the scoring 19 seconds into the game with his first career goal to give Colgate a 1-0 lead. The two teams would swap goals the rest of the period to end in a 3-3 tie. Colleluori and sophomore
Rob Bosco (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) provided the other two Colgate goals.
The two teams again swapped goals throughout the second quarter before Lafayette took a 7-6 lead into halftime off a goal from Brett Djaha in the final 22 seconds. Senior

Chris Zielinski (Lancaster, Pa.), the reigning Patriot League Rookie of the Week, recorded all of the Raiders scoring in the period.
Junior
Tim Harrington (Lutherville, Md.) tallied 11 stops in goal for Colgate, including eight in the second half, while Jeff Canfield posted 12 saves for the Leopards.
Colgate hosts senior day on Saturday, April 18 against Bucknell. The game is slated to begin at 1 p.m. at Andy Kerr Stadium, and will determine the Patriot League regular season champion.
