High School: played at St. Margaret’s High School in San Juan Capistrano, California … earned four letters with the Tartans … played running back and linebacker in his senior campaign … served as captain in 2007 … rushed for 2,350 yards and 39 touchdowns in his final season … also caught 22 passes for 343 yards and four touchdowns … had 4,486 career rushing yards and 76 touchdowns … led his team to a 49-3-1 record in four seasons with back-to-back CIF championships in 2006 and 2007 and Division 5 state titles … picked for Southern California Bowl at running back … 2007 CIF Offensive Player of the Year and 2006 CIF Defensive Player of the Year … three-time first team all-league and second team all-state … team’s MVP in 2006 … coached by Harry Welch … also lettered in basketball and lacrosse.
