A 2021 graduate of Henry Clay High School ... a multi-sport athlete, lettered in volleyball and swimming ... also competed with the Lexington United Volleyball Club ... served as team captain her senior year, where she posted 271 kills, a 2.04 serve receive, 25 blocks, and 176 total digs ... advanced to the Kentucky Final Four in 2020, after the state's Elite Eight in 2019 ... named 2020 Miss KY Volleyball, only the second recipient from a public school and first from Henry Clay ... also a Third Team Under Armour All-American Team and Region 11 Player of the Year in 2020 ... a three-time First Team All-State, First Team All-Region and All-District honoree ... also was a four-time First Team All-State Academic Team member ... was Henry Clay's Passing Award winner in 2019 and earned the Best Teammate Award in 2020 ... was a member of the National Honor Society, FCA member and leader, and EAP mentor.

Shadwick on why she chose Colgate: "I chose Colgate because of the balance of academics and athletics, and I felt I could contribute in a meaningful way to not just the volleyball team, but also campus as a whole. The diversity and differences from my own hometown drew me in because of the unique experiences and friendships I know I will have on campus. The team is such a tight knit family, and the coaches are dedicated to seeing their players as people, which was the icing on the cake."
