A 2019 graduate of Loyola Academy ... tallied 523 assists and 106 kills as a senior captain of the program at Loyola Academy ... posted 38 blocks and 31 service aces her senior season ... was a 2016 and 2018 regional champion and 2018 sectional champion ... named First Team All-Conference, All-State Team Special Mention, two-time All-Area Team Honorable Mention, and Illinois Prep Volleyball All-State Team Special Mention all for her efforts in the 2018 campaign ... tallied 76 kills and 43 service aces in 70 sets played her junior season … averaged 4.60 assists per set … marked a team-leading 325 sets paired with 21 total blocks in the 2017 campaign ... also a member of the Misericordia Junior Board at Loyola Academy.

Family: Daughter of Marty and Monica Martinson ... has three brothers ... father Marty was a football captain at Yale ... mother Monica played volleyball at Brown ... brother Andrew is currently a baseball player at Middlebury College ... great grandfather James Duncan won a bronze medal in discus at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics and held the discus world record in the 1920s.
Martinson on why she chose Colgate: “I chose Colgate because it was my goal to play at a top academic program that also has really competitive volleyball. The campus is so beautiful and has a lot to offer. I’m really excited to be there for the next four years!”
