Jake Stearney threw four touchdowns – three to sophomore wide receiver
Matt Fogler – and Colgate's defense blanked Holy Cross in the second half to improve to 2-0 on the season with a 35-10 victory on Saturday at Andy Kerr Stadium.
Stearney delivered an efficient 13-for-21 performance for 278 yards and four scores through the air. Fogler was his primary target, hauling in six catches for 153 yards and three touchdowns, while Winston Moore provided an explosive spark with a 58-yard touchdown reception.
Danny Shaban led the ground game with 98 yards on 17 carries and his third touchdown of the season. Defensively, the Raiders pitched a second-half shutout and snagged three interceptions – courtesy of Christian Magliacano, Tymir Wynn, and Zach Jones – while Trooper Price anchored the unit with a team-high 11 tackles.
