LEWISBURG, Pa. – Colgate fell to Bucknell, 14–12, on Saturday at Mathewson-Memorial Stadium. Despite a strong third-quarter surge with five goals that tied the game, 10–10, at the end of the period, the Raiders could not overcome the Bison's early lead.

"It's heartbreaking for our guys to work their tails off all week, but not get the satisfaction on Saturdays. We won't stop working until we get what we want, that's the Colgate Lacrosse way.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The game began with Colgate winning the opening face off, but neither team scored within the first five minutes. Bucknell opened the scoring at the 10:00 mark before Hunter Drouin responded for the Raiders, leveling the score.
However, the Bison regained momentum with three quick goals to take a 4–1 lead. As the quarter wound down, Colgate's Casey Quinson scored with 1:44 remaining, assisted by Ryan Favaro, closing the gap to 4–2 by the end of the quarter.
The Bison extended their lead with back-to-back goals to push the score to 6–2. Colgate responded with a goal from Freddy Fowler to narrow the gap temporarily before Bucknell scored its seventh goal of the game. Colgate mounted a late rally with goals from Emmet Crotty and Drouin.
Bucknell capitalized on a man-up opportunity with a goal to give the Bison a three-goal advantage heading into halftime, 8–5.
Colgate initiated a four-goal scoring surge to take its first lead of the game, 9–8. Quinson started the run, scoring his 18th goal of the season. Drouin added to the momentum with a goal off an assist from Charlie Lohman, prompting a Bucknell timeout.
Out of the break, Fowler and Quinn Spillett added goals to give Colgate the lead. Bucknell halted the Raiders' momentum with a goal at 3:42. Quinson struck again, assisted by Fowler, but the Bison answered to tie the game, 10–10, by the end of the quarter.
Bucknell secured a 4–2 scoring advantage in the final quarter to emerge victorious over Colgate. The Bison continued their offensive push in the period, scoring three goals to regain the lead.
Colgate answered with goals from Patty Eldredge at 4:40, assisted by Drouin, and Drouin himself at 2:51, assisted by Fowler. Colgate attempted to rally in the final minute, but Bucknell held on to its two-goal lead to secure the 14–12 victory in league play.

- Hunter Drouin recorded a season-best four goals and two assists.
- Andrew Lehrmann faced 30 shots, making 11 saves while allowing eight goals.
- Casey Quinson and Freddy Fowler each recorded four points. Quinson finished with three goals and one assist, while Fowler tallied two goals and two assists.
