PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Raiders dropped their second game of the weekend after a four-goal second period from the Brown Bears proved to be enough as Colgate fell 6-2 at Meehan Auditorium on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Colgate opened the game with consistent pressure, including shots from Ava Wood and Sydney Sawyer, but Edwards held firm in the Bears' net. Despite these efforts, Colgate was unable to convert their chances.
The Bears capitalized midway through the period when Margot Norehad scored at 10:22, assisted by Sam Broz and Victoria Damiani, giving the home team the lead. Colgate continued to challenge, with multiple shots saved by Edwards, including attempts from Casey Borgiel and Emma Pais. The period closed with Colgate trailing, 1-0.
The second period began with Brown capitalizing on a power play, as Norehad scored, assisted by Olivia Fantino and Monique Lyons. This early goal shifted the momentum in favor of the Bears. Colgate responded with several attempts on goal, but Edwards kept the net secure.Â

Colgate's Alexia Aubin scored an unassisted goal at 9:37 of the third period, narrowing the deficit against the Bears. Brown managed to capitalize on Colgate's empty net with Lyons scoring an empty-net goal at 4:03, assisted by Broz. The game ended with Colgate falling 6-2.
