LAKE PLACID, N.Y.  – Alex Hill's 4-under 209 helped him to a sixth-place finish and paced Colgate Golf to third place in the Autumn Invitational on Sunday afternoon at Lake Placid Club. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • After turning in back-to-back rounds of 3-under 68 on Saturday, the sophomore Hill carded a 2-over 73 in the final round on Sunday to capture a top 10 finish. 
  • Hill's best highlight of the day came on the 13th hole where he landed Colgate's third eagle of the day. 
  • Leo Li shot a 4-over 75 on Sunday to finish 1-over for the tournament and tied for 14th place. He tied teammate Jamison Bryant, who also shot a 4-over 75 in the final round.
  • Ronav Benak carded a 2-over 73 on Sunday to finish 3-over for the tournament in 21st.
  • Brayden Dock rounded out Colgate's scoring contingent in 25th place with a three-day score of 217 (+4). 
  • Jayden Freedman, playing as an individual, turned in Colgate's best card of the day after finishing with an even par 71 to place tied for 36th at 219 (+6).

TEAM SCORING
  • The Raiders, which sat 15-under at 553 after shattering the program's 36-hole record on Saturday, shot a 12-over 296 on Sunday to finish in third place out of 13 teams competing in this weekend's tournament at the par 71 Lake Placid Club. 
  • Columbia took the honors at 12-under after shooting even par on Sunday to close out the victory. Eighty golfers from 13 teams competed in this weekend's 6,530-yard par-71 Autumn Invitational at Lake Placid Club. 

NOTES
  • Colgate's 3.11 average score on par 3s was best in the field.
  • The Raiders were tied with Dartmouth for the most eagles with 3.
  • Colgate's 54 birdies were second best in the tournament.
  • Alex Hill had 15 birdies on the weekend, good for second best.
