ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Colgate Golf improved by 10 strokes as a team to finish 13th out of 16 programs competing in this weekend's 54-hole tournament, The Goat, hosted by Navy at the Naval Academy Golf Course. The Raiders finished with a three-day score of 905 (+53), four strokes behind Lafayette.Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
- First-year Ronav Benak was one of four Colgate golfers who climbed the leaderboard on Sunday. He shot his second straight 73 (+2) to finish 10-over for the tournament in 30th place.
- Leo Li also carded a 73 on Sunday, his best round of the weekend, to move into 44th place on the leaderboard.Â
- Brayden Dock and Alex Hill recorded their best scorecards of the weekend as well, carding a pair of 74s (+3) to finish in 54th and 71st, respectively.
- Jamison Bryant rounded out Colgate's scoring contingent in 78th place with a three-day total of 235 (+22).Â
A pair of Patriot League opponents battled at the top, with Loyola coming away with the victory (+6) by five strokes over Navy (+11). Seton Hall rounded out the top three at 14-over. Eighty-four golfers across 16 teams competed in the weekend tournament in Annapolis.Â
