APALACHIN, N.Y.  – First-year Ronav Benak fired a career-best 4-under 68 in the final round Monday to finish sixth and help Colgate Golf climb to sixth in the Matthews Auto Collegiate hosted by Binghamton at the Links at Hiawatha.

COACH KIRCHER'S COMMENTS

"We had some really good stuff this weekend from first-year Ronav Benak, shooting 4-under in the final round. He's figuring out how good he is, which is great for Colgate Golf. We had a nice final round from Gabriel Garson-Goroway as well, posting his first under-par round as a Raider. Jayden and Leo got off to nice starts this weekend with an even par round. As a whole, we seem to kind of copy each other around the golf course both in the good and bad stretches. Once we figure out how to plot our way around a little better we are going to be in good shape."
