Game Recap: Women's Ice Hockey |

Women's Hockey Dominates Harvard, 5-0

Davis earns first career shutout

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.
-
A three-goal second period, including two within 28 seconds of each other, lifted Colgate to a comfortable 5-0 win over Harvard at Bright-Landry Hockey Center on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Raiders started fast with a goal from Jaime Spring assisted by Alexia Aubin just two and half minutes into the game. Spring fired a shot from the point that found its way past the Harvard goaltender.

After holding onto the 1-0 lead into the second period, Colgate added to the advantage with a goal from Emma Pais off a feed from Elyssa Biederman and Chloe Goofers. The Raiders killed two 5-on-3 advantages from Harvard, highlighted by Brooke Davis with multiple key stops to keep the Crimson out.

With less than three to go in the second, Biederman buried off a pass from Goofers to make it 3-0 before just 28 seconds later, Alexis Petford ripped the nylon going top shelf off a dish from Pais and Aubin.

Avery Pickering finished up the game in the third with a power play goal assisted by Casey Borgiel and Biederman to give the Raiders a comfortable, 5-0 win.
