JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Dominique Groguhe capped a special season for the Colgate track and field team with a 44th-place finish in the discus throw as part of the NCAA East First Round Saturday afternoon.

Going toe-to-toe with the East region's top 48 qualifiers in the discus throw, Groguhe launched a 43.62-meter heave (143' 1") on her second attempt, good for 44th in the event. The top-12 finishers advanced to the national championships in Austin, Texas.

Groguhe captured a second-place finish in the discus at the Patriot League Outdoor Championships with a personal-best throw of 50.72 meters (166' 5") – good for the 44th-best mark in the East. She placed fourth at the ECAC/IC4As with a throw of 47.07 meters (154' 5").

Saturday's performance concludes a memorable campaign for Colgate Track and Field. The men's team garnered its best Patriot League Outdoor Championships finish since 2012, while the women's team earned its best League championships placement since 2013.

Head Coach Chelsea France

"Dom capped off a dominant career as a Raider finishing at the same regional ranking she came in with, and she's a school-record holder in three separate events. There's no better way to close a senior season than being able to compete on one of the greatest stages in track and field. She has made her teammates, coaches, and Raider fans extremely proud. I'm excited to follow her journey as she transitions into the next chapter of her career. This year was truly special for our program."
